The 2003 Mike Jourgensen album "Late at Night" resulted from the disbanding of Denver's (psychedelic, hard rock band) Abdomen in 2002. This 42-minute CD of new material was Jourgensen handling all the instruments and recording alone.
The live version of Mike
Jourgensen formed in December, 2003. At various times it included Scott Young,
Elie Kimura, Cheyne Bamford and Brian
Kotal. The 3-piece played at rock
clubs throughout
Colorado.
In late 2004, Mike began doing solo live shows with looped accompaniment. At
this point he also began recording material for a 2nd album.
In August 2006, his 2nd album "I've Had It"
was released. The 44-minute CD of new material is again a 10-song affair
with Mike handling all the instrumentation and recording.
In April, 2008, he continues recording material for a 3rd album scheduled
for a 2009 release.
